Over the weekend, it was reported that the man who invented the Email, Ray Tomlinson passed away at 74 due to a suspected heart attack.

 

I am sure a lot of people don’t know him, but Ray Tomlinson was regarded as one of the early ARPAnet pioneers in the 1960s at engineering firm Bolt Beranek and Newman. He was also known to have invented the @ symbol as a way to separate local e-mails from those that could be sent to a different computer on a network. Continue reading
